Celebrating the Joy of Jazz
Humour, fun, repartee and of course, great jazz marked the The Culrose Seven’s opening session of the 2017 Ramsgate Seaside Shuffle Festival on Friday, 14th July.
The Colrose Seven are: Pete Rose (clt); Bill Jones (clt); Tom Clarke (sax); Ray Perkins (pno); Colin Hodges (bjo); Lisa Pentecost (bass); Jimmy Tagford (dms).
First on stage at this years Ramsgate Seaside Shuffle Festival was Dick Smith’s Temple Jazz Band. Not in The Small Boat Owners Club but in Andy Barrett’s Belgian Cafe. A great venue opposite the promenade where construction works prevented
the usual seafront brolly parade.

I am compelled to include this because of the wonderful response to my recent post about Trefor Williams.
The issue is that the vast majority of messages for Trefor and Kate have been posted on my Facebook Jazzers Group and then on other Facebook groups and pages rather than in the “Speak Your Mind” Comments section at the foot of each Jazz&Jazz feature.

Having heard that he is not in the best of health, I, along with so many other fans and musicians, have been on tenterhooks waiting to find out more about Trefor Williams. When he sees this message, we hope it will give him – and Kate – good cheer!
