Just released, Chris Hodgkin’s latest newsletter contains details of his launch of three new business manuals, the release and launch of the album Lenore Raphael, Wayne Wilkinson and Chris Hodgkins at Pizza Express Live, Dean Street and a tour with US pianist Leonore Raphael, US guitarist Wayne Wilkinson with special guest Alison Rayner on bass. Two further releases are; Chris Hodgkins And His Band – Retrospection featuring the radio and TV broadcast 1976-1978 and Remembering John Evans 1934 – 2015 + details of Chris’s programmes on Jazz London Radio and Pure Jazz in New York.

Google have introduced a new policy for reviewing ad inclusions on YouTubes. It reads:
“Right now, we are only able to review videos with at least 1,000 views in the past 7 days.
We’ll review your video once it reaches that threshold.”
A volume of complaints has already been made about this. It penalises the small man. For instance despite my many contacts, it would take a “Month of Sundays” for my jazz YouTubes to reach that 1,000 views target. [Read more…]
