“Basin Street Blues” The Leroy Jones Quintet: No 28 in the Jazz&Jazz Covid 19 Blackout Buster Series!

I first met Leroy Jones in New Orleans during the French Quarter Festival back in 2010, so I seized the opportunity to get together with him again during his visit to
The Arena, St Albans, in November, 2015.

Eva Fernández: ‘I Remember Clifford’ Jazz&Jazz Covid19 Blackout Buster 27

Continuing the Series:

“Jazz&Jazz confronts the
Coronavirus Plague!”

Fond memories of Fest Jazz, 2014! Accompanied by Joan Chamorro, bass, and Andrea Motis (trumpet), Eva Fernández sings “I Remember Clifford”, written by sax player Benny Golson in memory of trumpeter Clifford Brown who died in an auto accident age 25.

Singer and saxophonist, Eva is now a star
in her own right.
