The Matt Carter Septet


The Matt Carter Septet comprises seven of the finest young musicians in the UK students or postgraduates at The Royal Academy of Music and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the two most prestigious music education establishments in the UK. The band includes Alex Ridout, BBC “Young Jazz Musician of the Year” 2016, “Rising Star” 2018, now with her own band as well as a regular member of the Clark Tracey Quintet and other leading groups. The band focuses on classic swinging American Songbook tunes plus some groovy originals.

Join Plymouth Jazz Club and Plymouth Boat Trips on a cruise up the Tamar to the lively sound of ‘The Gentlemen of Jazz’ traditional jazz band.
Boat leaves the Barbican Landing Stage at 4.30 pm., returning 9.30 pm.

The Sopranos

Chris Pearce and Andy Leggett, two great clarinet/sax. players, plus trombone & a fine rhythm section make a great traditional jazz band with influences from New Orleans to Arlo Guthrie.
