Help Save Fest Jazz
“It was the only rainy weekend of the summer and it had to be during Fest Jazz!”
“For the festival it was a catastrophe. On the Sunday 29th July we had only 402 spectators who braved the appalling wind and rain whereas in 2017 (and previous years) we had around 1100.
“700 fewer spectators represents a deficit of at least 14 000€. Whereas other festivals can turn to their town for help we cannot. The commune of Châteauneuf is very generous and supportive of the festival but with only 3 600 inhabitants it doesn’t have the resources to give more.
“The future of Fest Jazz is in serious doubt. That is why the young team who worked so hard to organise this year’s event have launched an appeal via a Crowd Funding project.”
Please send us a donation to help us continue this unique festival that has helped so many young people appreciate and play jazz as well as publicise the region as a tourist destination.
