606 Club UK Launch: Erin Dickins’ Stunning New Album “Vignettes”

19th March 2017
 The 606 Club, London

NYC Jazz Vocalist Erin Dickins’ exclusive one-off show ahead of the release of her new album ‘Vignettes’ on 31st March, 2017.

Erin is an award winning Jazz Vocalist from New York City and a founding member of Manhattan Transfer. ‘Vignettes’ is her stunning new album – an eclectic and personal compilation of one-on-one collaborations with an array of world-class musicians.

After co-founding renowned acapella group Manhattan Transfer, Erin Dickins established herself as one of the leading studio singers in New York, touring and recording with many notable artists including Leonard Cohen, Bette Midler, James Taylor, The Talking Heads and James Brown.

Following her hit album ‘Java Jive’ (Dot Time Records), Dickins returns with ‘Vignettes’, an outstanding new body of work that captures the singer’s diversity, moving through a range of styles and genres and demonstrating the true range of her vocal artistry.

This magnetic new album features a wealth of talented collaborators, including producer John Lissauer, famous for his work on both Al Jarreau’s first recordings and Leonard Cohen’s most successful albums (including the iconic track ‘Hallelujah’), along with a plethora of scores for film and TV.

“…Dickins’ vast experience allows her to feel at ease singing different styles … deeply rooted in the jazz tradition. JazzTimes

“Dickins possesses that ability all great singers have, to make the slowest ballads sound effortless. Her voice is light, coquettish, coy and smiling.” All About Jazz

The 606 Club UK Launch will be an exclusive opportunity to witness the impact of Dickins’ fantastic live performance here in the UK and to celebrate the album’s accomplishments in a live setting. A one-off special event to showcase one of the best vocal jazz albums of the year to date.
