Changes in New Orleans: Jazz&Jazz photographer Laurence Cumming visited New Orleans in May this year and captured a series of magical photographs which inspired me to revisit the photos I took six years ago during the French Quarter Festival.
So here is our “Then and Now” NO Photo Story.

Dear Peter,
How about personell details captions to your excellent photographs?
Cheers,
Sid.
Great photos!
Good to hear from you Sid.
Yes, I agree, some personal details are needed – trouble is although I know many of the musicians names, I would need some help. And I’ve yet to complete and Part 2. But I wanted to get this post online before heading for the Ramsgate Seaside Shuffle Festival this weekend – which my wife and I helped launch in 2011.
So upwards and onwards next week
Cheers
Peter
Thank you Per-Olof,
Hi Peter
In the Ken Collier Trust picture. – GREG STAFFORD TRUMPET and DR MICHAEL WHITE CLARINET and there are also solo pics of them under the Dew Drop pic. The last picture Is not the current line-up of the SHOT GUN JAZZ BAND ( James Evans, who has moved to NO., is now playing clarinet with them ) A few other faces are familiar but can’t put names to them.

Thanks for this, Norman. I’ve got to prepare Part 2 for posting as soon as I’ve caught up with much else – then I’ll get back to names.
