Olney Jazz Club
Great gig, but maybe a little heavy on seasonal numbers. Well, it would have been but for the excellent ‘funky’ “Little Drummer Boy” joining “Feeling good” from “Roar of the greasepaint” (Newley/Bricusse) as the standout numbers. The way the rythm section pulled a somewhat conventional “White Christmas” into a Reggae beat also impressed!
