Sunday Night Jazz in March & April

8th March – Bob Dwyer’s Bix & Pieces. Bob Dwyer playing trombone leads his popular band with Max Emmons trumpet and blues harmonica, and Bernie Holden reeds. The band plays mainly in the style of the legendary Bix Beiderbecke.

22nd March – Cyril Bass and Friends. By popular demand a return visit to club for this local quartet of talented musicians.
29th March – The Jack Clifford Swingtette. A great end to the month with an evening of jazz standards from the Swingtette. As usual, Jack’s ensemble with a guest front line and a rhythm section regulars Tim Huskisson and Roger Curphy.
12th April – Ollie Benson’s Hot Club. A return visit of this popular ensemble. It features Ollie Benson guitar and Peter Sellars violin. The group plays jazz in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli reminiscent of The Hot Club of France.
26th April – The Jack Clifford Swingtette. Another wonderful end to the month with an evening of jazz from the Swingtette. Jack leads his ensemble with a guest front line and a rhythm section of Tim Huskisson and Roger Curphy.
