After a brief but for his fans unbearable absence from the jazz scene, Adrian Cox is back in full force with his magnificent Quartet.
Ginny and I were hugely privileged to make it to Café in The Crypt, St Martins in the Fields, on Wednesday, 15th October, for a spectacular session and an opportunity to capture YouTubes of the Quartet along with special guest Tom Kincaid on piano.
In this YouTube Adrian, Nils, Mez, George and Tom play “That’s a Plenty”, a 1914 ragtime number composed by Lew Pollack. Best viewed in HD.
This is the first of a series of special Jazz&Jazz posts I plan featuring the new generation of dynamic young jazz musicians and bands in the UK.
