Maggie (“I Wandered Today To The Lemsford Hills, Maggie”)

The Happy Jazz Band

Presenting Two Magical YouTube Versions of “Maggie”.

The first, a unique Jazz Club rendition by The Happy Jazz Men on Sunday 11th June, 2017, at Lemsford Jazz Club.

Ted Barker (tuba), Andy Moran (trumpet), Cyril Bass (drums), Jonny Leighton (banjo), and the irrepressible Derek Scofield (clarinet, saxophones, penny whistle, vocals, the works including
tap dancing!)

The second performed by the “late, great” country singer, Rob Washburn. Maggie was written by George W. Johnson (1866) about his wife when she passed away.
