Jazz&Jazz aims never to miss an opportunity to feature emerging young jazz musicians. Hence, when the great Ray Smith was temporarily indisposed, pianist Ian Wynn was chosen to take his place and Jazz&Jazz seized the opportunity to film his performance with “The Smith/Pointon New Orleans Jazz Band”. The occasion: Pete Lay’s 2014
Hemsby Autumn Jazz Parade.

  1. Norman & Meryl says:

Maybe Ian could be looked on as a ‘Newcomer’ south of Watford, but, north of there, he has been a super talent, appearing as regularly as his music college studies allowed, with his early mentors The Rae Brothers New Orleans Band. You have done right in highlighting his talent on Jazz and Jazz, as we are sure he will just rise and rise, as our other star Mancunian pianist Tom Kincaid has done. Norman and Meryl
